A year round herb growing to approximately 40 cm tall, having bright shiny green fan shaped leaves and is very fragrant.

In cooking terms it is used in a great variety of recipes, such as soups, stews, vegetables, salads, fish and poultry, and is one of the components of curry and one of its properties is that it reduces flatulence.
