PLANT CHARACTERISTICS:

A year round herb some 30 to 60cm wide, juicy and aromatic leaves of approximately 3 to 5cm in length, and having a sweet and fragrant flavour that intensifies with heat.

Culinary uses:

It goes very well with pasta, salad and tomato, basil is one of the main ingredients in Italian pesto and one could say that is the plant typical of Italian cuisine.
